XB-450i Tire Bead Breaker

The BeadBuster XB-450i is a compact, heavy-duty bead breaker designed to remove stubborn tyre beads without needing a tyre-changing machine. Its portable design makes it ideal for workshops, race trailers, garages and trackside repairs.

Special Applications

Reinforced ATV and UTV rims

Wheels fitted with a reinforcing ring or “rock ring” require the optional BB1X-CAP Clamp Post. Reinforced rims can look similar to beadlock wheels but are constructed differently.

Contoured automotive rims

Some cast-alloy passenger vehicle wheels have curved or angled surfaces that prevent the standard clamp arm from seating correctly. These wheels require the optional BB1X-CAE Extended Clamp Arm.

7 and 8-inch ATV rims

The XB-450i is designed primarily for ATV and UTV wheels measuring 9 inches or larger. Seven and eight-inch ATV wheels have a shallower rim-lip profile and require the optional BB1-SPCR magnetic spacer.

Using the tool on these smaller ATV wheels without the correct spacer may damage the tool or wheel and void the warranty. The spacer is not normally required for small lawn-mower or go-kart wheels.

Important Information

• A 3/4-inch wrench or socket is required to operate the clamp and ram bolts.
• Hand tools can be used, although power tools make operation easier.
• An impact wrench may be used carefully. Avoid over-tightening the bolts, particularly when using a powerful 1/2-inch impact wrench.
• Tyre irons are required to complete the removal of the tyre from the wheel.
• Always confirm that the tool is seated securely before applying force.
