Many aftermarket "1 bar" actuators achieve their opening pressure through excessive preload rather than spring pressure alone. While this can increase boost levels, it also reduces available wastegate travel, potentially affecting boost control and increasing the likelihood of boost creep or overboost conditions.

ARTEC RB26DETT High Boost Wastegate Actuators are engineered as genuine 1.0 bar and 1.3 bar units delivering the required spring pressure without relying on excessive preload. This allows the wastegate valve to maintain its intended range of movement, resulting in more stable and consistent boost control across the operating range.
