The MechMan 170 amp racing alternator for GM LS truck provides vastly improved durability over the stock large case truck alternator at a great price. This 6 phase unit cranks out over 120 amps at idle with a high-RPM friendly stock diameter alternator pulley. This alternator features twin steel internal fans and a hairpin stator for much better high RPM durability than OEM truck alternators.

The simple internal voltage regulator makes installation a snap on any engine swap application, regardless of which wiring harness you are using. Simply connect a 4 gauge positive and ground cable between the alternator and the battery, an ignition switched turn on wire to the alternator plug, and the alternator will do the rest! Twin pure copper rectifier plates and 12 huge diodes make this unit highly durable in hot / abusive racing applications.
