This B&M Bracket and Lever Kit allows a B&M 3-Speed Rear-Exit Cable Shifter (ex: Pro Gate Shifter #80905) to be used on a vehicle equipped with Ford AOD Automatic Transmissions. Both the selector shaft and selector lever are made of T6 Aluminum. Due to the countless uses and exposure to the elements, both parts are Hard Anodized to prevent wear and corrosion.
Although the AOD is a 4-speed transmission, they have only three forward shifter positions, so a 3-speed shifter must be used.
The 40507, 40508, and 40509 bracket and selector lever kits can be used with B&M Pro Gate, Pro Bandit, and Street Bandit shifters.

It is necessary to drain the transmission fluid and drop the pan to install the new selector lever. You will need 7-10 quarts of transmission fluid (depending on pan depth), and a new pan gasket. A new transmission filter is also recommended. Installation requires better-than-average mechanical knowledge and skills.
