When upgrading your camshaft to an aftermarket camshaft and timing chain gear it is recommended to upgrade the bolts. These heavy-duty camshaft bolts are stronger than the OEM units. These increase the preload clamping force to ensure positive timing gear register. Their increased material strength overcomes valve train harmonics and stress. These Aeroflow camshaft bolts are made from chrome moly 8740 for maximum strength and durability. They are coated in a black oxide finish for protection and long-lasting durability.
