This billet tank is the only completely cnc machined dry sump tank with no welds on the market. With its patented see through filter on the top and its superior design for separating air from the oil with its baffled venting system it will also function better.
This new billet dry sump tanks allow the user to visually see oil flowing through the filter on the top of the tank. This helps determine the condition of the oil. The filter assembly can also be quickly emptied of oil when the engine is shut off. Just apply a small shot of air to the air fitting on the filter top inlet. The oil will empty out of the filter assembly in seconds exposing the element and filtered particles without draining or leaking oil. Unbolting or loosening any fasteners or fittings and without the loss of any oil out of the system. This allows the user to visually see the particles that were filtered out of the oil to determine if they are from normal use or from bearings or other components excessively wearing in the engine. This is an early warning device for your engine!
Oil first flows through the see through filter's element which catches the visible particles out of the oil. When the oil goes through the filter element it breaks up air from the scavenge line. Then oil flows through the unique and one-of-a-kind internal channel with bubble splitters to improve air removal oil flows down and around the insides of the tank walls so the scavenge oil does not return directly into the tank oil. Which creates foaming and air. The scavenge oil has to flow around and through the outside of the top baffle then flows towards the centre tube through the second baffle and into the centre tube to maximize air removal. By the time the oil reaches the bottom of the tank the air has floated to the top of the tank and is vented out through an oil baffled splash guard then through the two #12 an fittings at the top of the tank.
Tanks are made from one piece of aluminium. Tank top has an O-ring seal and can be removed in just minutes for easy maintenance and cleaning. Each tank is pressure tested to guarantee no leaks. Tank has superior venting and baffle system which is mounted to the tank top so when the top is removed the entire baffle system comes out in one piece and can be quickly cleaned without taking the tank out of the car tanks comes with either #12 or #16 inlets on the clear view filter. One inlet comes plugged and other inlet comes with a fitting installed. Top can be rotated every 90 degrees to position inlet fittings where desired tanks come with either #12 or #16 outlet an fitting on the bottom of the tank brackets can be rotated every 90 degrees to position outlet where desired has 2 extra 1/2" pipe threaded openings for an oil heater or an extra feed. Outlet holes come plugged larger drain plug for quick and easy draining
